In accordance with our methodological approach to heraldic parophony, we report the development of a new semantic proposition for the crest in the coat of arms of Carvalhal Benfeito: “a demi-Moor in profile, fallen to the dexter, wearing a turban and vested in mail, transfixed by a half spear sable, head imbued gules”.
