In accordance with our methodological approach, we report the development of a new semantic proposition for the canting level in the arms of Asunción (Paraguay): quartered azure; first the Virgin Mary with arms open, hands downwards, standing barefoot on a cloud; second Saint Blaise with both arms raised, the left hand holding a crosier, the right hand apaumy; third a triple-towered fortress ajouré; fourth a lion statant between three-fourths of a tree eradicated mouvant from dexter and a palm-tree, its trunk enwrapped by the lion's tail; all argent”.
